The annual revival at New Bethel AME Church will be Monday night, July 12-16. Monday night will be Oak Grove and Washington Temple COGIC; Tuesday night Harrison Chapel and Whites Chapel; Wednesday night St. John, Union Grove and Mt. Vernon; Thursday night Pleasant Grove and Kendrick Chapel; Friday night Steward and Macedonia Baptist Church in Sparkman. Evangelist for the week is Rev. Wallace Ingram, pastor of Macedonia Baptist Church of Sparkman. All churches are invited to come to the revival with us. Fish and chicken will be served Friday night with all the trimmings. Come out and let's have an old time revival.

The Scott and the Meirdia reunion was held at Coleman Lake Saturday. Odessa Blackely and husband from Los Angeles, Calif., Therman Blackely daughter's, Cara Stovall, and her niece, Laverne's daughter, my cousin, Laverne, Christopher Stovall daughter from Milwaukee.

On Friday Bessie Box's daughter, Hertha Mae Jackson, of Detroit, Mich., her son, Charles Tidwell, from Bearden all went to Prescott to shop for groceries and the whole town was blacked out. We could not get anything. We had stuff in our buggies, but could not get waited on. It was around two or so before they got it fixed.

Velma Madison Lupo's husband had a stroke in Dallas, Texas. He is a real good preacher and a very nice person. I hope he will overcome it and come back to Rosston again to preach for us and visit us. He is a down-to-earth person.

Edna Kelley visited us one evening last week. She is another down-to-earth person.

Henry Staples has been down in his feet. His Aunt Girtie is not doing well. James Charles came home and stayed a few days with her and Henry Staples.

We really did have a good homecoming at Bethel AME Church Sunday. Good preaching and good singing was enjoyed. The choir was from Wards Chapel. They could really sing. Rev. Arthur Colter did preach good. He is a very good pastor.

Orell Joe and his wife, Ruby, visited his mother, Clara Joe. She has been back in the hospital in Hope. She has been in the nursing home in Prescott.

Ira J. Tidwell has been on our sick list for a while, but is back home doing fair. Let's pray for him, for he is the oldest man in our community.
