Ernest Lavelle VinsonPublished Wednesday, June 12, 1996 in the Nevada County PicayuneErnest Lavelle Vinson, 78, of the Marysville community died Monday, June 10, 1996, at Medical Center of South Arkansas in El Dorado. Born October 1, 1917, in Union County, he was the son of Ernest Mark and Lona Almeda (Davis) Vinson. He was a retired employee of Cities Services Oil Co., a member of Marysville Methodist Church and the Fraternal Order of Masons. Survivors include his wife, Ruth Carolyn (Hinson) Vinson of Marysville; two daughers, Mary Smith of Rosston and Carolyn Vinson Knox of Springhill, La.; one granddaughter; and three great grandsons. Services are being held today, Wednesday, June 12, at Marysville Methdodist Church with Bro. David Steele officiating. Burial was in Marysville Cemetery under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home of Magnolia. Pallbearers were Harold Braswell, Jennings Shaw, Bobby Hinson, Claude Wilson, Obie Cooper and Paul Broussard.
