Gurdon Primary Hosts Field Day For Third And Fourth Graders

On May 23, Gurdon Primary School held its annual field day. Third and fourth grade students participated in field and track events. The other students were an appreciative audience.

Dane Stone and the Jif-E Mart stores provided cold drinks for everyone.

First and second place winners have been announced. Girls games are listed first.

Softball throw, third grade: first place, Haley Griffin, and second place, Lakeshia Quarles and Kimberly McCoy; fourth grade: Lindett Kariri, first place, and Jessica Giles, second place.

Fifty-yard dash, third grade: first place, Alye Smith and Jessica Land, and second place, Lezlee White and Blair Griffin; fourth grade: first place, Yvonda Ivory and Bonisha Buford, and second place, Yvonda Ivory and Bonisha Buford.

100-yard dash, third grade: first place, Kimberly McCoy and Ashley Davis; fourth grade: first place, Tabitha Manley and April Wells.

100-yard relay, third grade: first place, Lorena Bell and Alecia Bell, and second place, Halley Griffin and Desirea Seabrooke; fourth grade: first place, Crystal Lane and Takia Williams, and second place, Triska McRay and Lacey Loy.

Jump rope race, third grade: first place, Amy Stiffler, and second place, Lakeshia Quarles; fourth grade: first place, Tabitha Manley, and second place, Makisha Ellis.

Jump rope relay, third grade: first place, Lorena Bell and Alecia Bell, and second place, Amber Goza and Kolby Harper; fourth grade: first place, Nikita Brisco and Yvonda Ivory, and second place Jessica Giles and Markita Box.

Jump rope chamionship (jump longest time without missing), third grade: first place, Haley Hardage (138), and second place, Haley McDaniel (131); fourth grade: first place, Takita Williams (151), and second place, Nikita Briscoe (107).

Caterpillar Kick: first place: Ashley Davis and Lakeshia Quarles, and second place, Haley Griffin; fourth grade: first place, Markisha Ellis, and second place, Lynsey Mckenzie.

Egg race, third grade: first place, Haleigh McDaniel, and second place, Christina Daniels; fourth grade: first place, Becky Lee, and second place, Bonisha Buford.

Sack Race, third grade: first place, Ashley Powell, and second place, Lauren Coston; fourth grade: first place, Robin LeMay, and second place, Jessica Giles and Joslin Braown.

Three-leg race, third grade: first place, Amy Stiffler and Ashley Powell, and second, Lorena Bell and Alecia Bell; fourth grade: first place, Tashia Morgan and Amanda Benson, and second place, Nikki Campbell and Michelle Fields.

Egg toss, third grade: first place, Britta Halliday and Christa Hopson, and second place, Amanda Young and Hayley Hardige; fourth grade: first place, Tashia Morgan and Robyn Lemay, second place, Brittany Walker and Lyndette Kardiri.
