Area Jaycees Plan Busy YearPublished Wednesday, June 12, 1996 in the Gurdon TimesThe South Clark County Jaycees are preparing for a busy and productive year. Thursday, June 6, the Jaycees held their yearly election, which was presided over by outgoing President Kenneth Harper. Joe Rutherford was elected the local chapter president. Management development vice president is Mary Smith. Individual development vice president is Erica Williams, membership development vice president is Sharom Mross, communication development vice president is Sherry Pheonix, secretary-treasurer is Sharron Penny and state director is Abea Burton. Saturday, June 8, the chapter began its `On To Project.' On To Project is one that the chapter does to benefit the local chapter. This project will be for the members who would like to attend state boards, but can't affort the expenses of registration and lodging. The project is mowing the lawn of Gurdon Town House and Restaurant. The chapter is looking for other ways to raise funds so that the chapter can help in the improvements of our city. Monday, June 10, the Jaycees met to began planning for the chapter's calendar of events.
