Summer FunPublished Wednesday, June 19, 1996 in the Gurdon TimesYoungsters in the Gurdon area have found the perfect way to beat the blistering summer heat, though it's not officially summer yet. The swimming pool at the Red Martin Country Club has become one of the most popular places in the region as people try to find ways to cool off. While the younger crowd enjoys splashing around in the pool and playing on the slide, the older sect spends time working on the perfect tan. Temperatures, though, have been climbing steadily of late and are not expected to fall anytime soon. This means more customers for the swimming pool.
