Lily Thompson AlmandPublished Wednesday, June 19, 1996 in the Nevada County PicayuneLily June Thompson Almand, 75, of Prescott died Thursday, June 13, 1996, in Medical Park Hospital in Hope. Born August 22, 1920, in Big Spring, Texas, she was a homemaker and a member of Laneburg Baptist Church in Laneburg. She was the widow of William H. Almand. Survivors include three sons, Bill and Walter Almand both of Laneburg and Harry Almand of Nashville; two daughters, Faye Griffin of Findley, Ohio, and Mae Meloy of Hope; four brothers, Vernon Thompson of Laneburg, Tillman Thompson of Gurdon, J.Y. Thompson of Stephens and Donald Thompson of Flint, Mich.; and three sisters, Arlene Almand of Laneburg, Geneva Cottingham of Prescott and Mary Helen Hollis of Magnolia; 10 grandchildren; and one great grandchild. Services were held Sunday, June 16, at Laneburg Baptist Church with Rev. David Hampton and Rev. Louie Wesson officiating.
