Golden Oldies

Charlotte Shepherd, our county coordinator, took several of us ladies on a shopping trip to Arkadelphia August 30.

We have now started September activities, beginning with shopping in Hot Springs on Wednesday of last week.

After being closed September 6 for Labor Day, the center seniors will be playing bingo, working puzzles, being informed by consumer alerts and have a special hat walk.

If you would like to see what a hat walk is, come out and join in our fun. We would like for you to come and take advantage of the services the center has to offer.

Commodity foods will be distributed by the Central Arkansas Development Council at the Gurdon Senior Adult Center at 410 E. Main on September 8 from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m and from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. to anyone who meets the income guidelines.

The center is a program of Central Arkansas Development Council and a United Way Agency.
