Local Democrats To Attend Convention

Five area residents will be attending the state convention from Nevada County.

According to Davis Benton, chairman of the Nevada County Election Commission, Delbert and Sydney DuCharme, Benton and two others will be delegates for the convention in Little Rock later this year.

In addition, Benton said the officers for the election commission will be the same next year. Benton will be the chairman, with Margaurite Tomlin and Marcia Rhodes vice-chairs.

And, when the committee met recently, it also approved the candidates for the November ballots as well as certifying the June 11 runoff.
