Sheriff's Office Investigates Burglary At Emmet GroceryPublished Wednesday, June 26, 1996 in the Nevada County PicayuneThe Emmet Grocery store was burglarized twice last week. According to Jim Westmoreland, criminal investigator with the Nevada County Sheriff's Office and Prescott Police Department, burglars hit the store June 14 and again Sunday, June 16. Tracy S. Williams, 20, of Emmet was arrested Tuesday, June 18, by Westmoreland and Emmet constable James Osborn, and charged with commercial burglary, a class C felony, and theft of property. The theft charge is a misdemeanor crime. In addition, three juveniles have been questioned in connection with the case, and were released to their parents. Westmoreland said another adult is wanted for questioning in the case, but has not been located as yet.
