Getting Ready

Lori Thomas, reporter, and Leah Lynn, treasurer, set up the Gurdon Future Farmer's of America fireworks booth as they prepare for an onslaught of customers who want to celebrate the Fourth of July in style by firing bottle rockets, firecrackers and otherwise simulating the battles our forefathers fought so we could enjoy the freedoms we have in America today. The money raised from the sale of fireworks is used to help send members of the local FFA to Kansas City, Mo. during the national organization's winter convention.
