Homer AllenPublished Wednesday, July 10, 1996 in the Nevada County PicayuneHomer Allen, 74, of Hope died Wednesday, July 3, 1996, at St. Michael Hospital in Texarkana. He was born Sept. 16, 1921, in Hope. He was retired from the Arkansas State Highway Department and a Methodist and army veteran of World War II. He is survived by three brothers, Edward Allen and Lonnie Allen of Hope Lynn Allen of Groves, Texas; three sisters, Lucy Barnes of Hope; Dorothy White of Ft. Smith and Princess Jean Myers of Eden Prairie, Minn.; and several nieces and nephews. Services were Friday, July 5, at Oak Grove United Methodist Church in Hope with the Rev. Joe Miller officiating.
