Edna Mae BrittPublished Wednesday, July 10, 1996 in the Nevada County PicayuneEdna Mae Urrey Britt, 88, of Hope, died June 28, 1996, at Heather Manor Nursing Center. She was the daughter of Tom E. and Lilla Urrey. She was born January 20, 1908, in Bodcaw and a member of First Baptist Church of Hope. She was a clerk for J.C. Penney Co. and Tot-N-Teen. She is preceded in death by her husband, John Lee Britt, and two sons, John L. Britt Jr. and Tommy M. Britt. Survivors include one son, Wilson Britt of Hope; eight grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, one great, great grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews. Services were Monday, July 1, in the Herndon Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Scott Neathery officiating. Burial was in Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Herndon Funeral Home of Hope.
