Drug ArrestPublished Wednesday, July 10, 1996 in the Nevada County PicayuneArkansas State Police Trooper Tim Land stopped a couple for speeding at the 48 mile marker on Interstate-30 around 12:40 p.m. Friday. Further investigation into the incident turned up more than just a speeding offense, though. Anitra Melker, 21, of Dallas, Texas, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, cocaine, after a small amount was found inside her purse. She was also charged with being in possession of a firearm. Terrance Tyler, 24, also of Dallas, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, marijuana, speeding and possession of a stolen handgun, a 9mm Baretta.
