Motorist LuckyPublished Wednesday, July 10, 1996 in the Nevada County PicayuneA 1992 Pontiac Sunbird, driven by Mike Bazzelle, 35, of Hope, was completely destroyed in an accident Tuesday, July 2 when it collided head on with a semi, owned by Livingston Trucking and driven by Billy Joe Turner, 51, of Texarkana. Bazzelle had apparently been drinking, and, according to reports from the Arkansas State Police, crossed the center line on Highway 4 about 2.2 miles east of the Highway 53 intersection, into the path of the semi. On impact, the Pontiac was knocked backwards, while the truck caught fire. No one was seriously injured in the accident.
