Chasity Angelena Brown and Gary Dwayne Morehead were united in a double-ring ceremony at the 23rd Street Church of God of Prophecy in Hope on Saturday, June 19, at 6 p.m. The Rev. Joe Miller officiated.

Parents of the bride are Franklin and Chiquita Brown of Hope.

She is the granddaughter of Frankie and Amelia Brown and Hilda Sulzer all of Hope.

The bridegroom is the son of Gary and Eva Jean Morehead of Bodcaw.

He is the grandson of the late Buck and Corrine Foster of Hope and Bruce and Mary Morehead of Bodcaw.

The guest book was attended by Crystal Brown, cousin of the bride, of Hope. She also handed out the thank you scrolls. The table held an engagement picture and a baby picture of the bride and groom with a burgundy pillar candle, accenting it with ivy and love doves.

Ushers were Matt Russell, nephew of the groom, of Bodcaw and Michael Brown, brother of the bride, of Hope. They also served as candle lighters.

The sanctuary was decorated with two seven-branch candelabras and a 15-branch candelabra accented with ivy and magnolia and ferns. The first two pews were marked with green ribbon and burgundy tulle bows accented with white roses. Beside each pew was a water glove with a tea candle.

Kevin Atkinson, brother-in-law of the groom, of Conway sang A Mother's Pray as the grandmothers were seated and as the groom seated his mother and the best man seated the bride's mother.

During the unity candle From This Moment was played.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride was attired in an Alfred Angelo Classic with a Queen Anne neckline with reembroidered lace with sequins and simulated pearls that graced the princess-seamed bodice, sleeves, waist and shirt, with button and loop closure on cuffs and back. The Basque waist descended to a full skirt with a semi-cathedral train with lace illusion medallions.

She wore a two-tier finger tip veil of silk illusion secured on a comb of satin rosettes with simulated pearls and Venetian lace. She carried a cascading bouquet of white gardenias, white roses and ivy accented with pearls, ribbon and small roses in the brides chosen colors of burgundy and hunter green.

Miss Tina Brown, sister of the bride, of Hope served as maid of honor. She wore a hunter green crepe back satin A-line style floor length gown. The open back had cris-cross straps accented with a bow.

Bridesmaids were Mrs. Sandy Russell of Bodcaw and Mrs. Cheryl Atkinson, sister of the groom, of Conway. They wore a burgundy gown identical to the maid of honor.

Each carried an open fan with a nosegay of white roses accented with tiny roses and ribbon in the bride's chosen colors.

Flower girl was Kaitlin Russell, niece of the groom, of Bodcaw. Her dress was a hunter green crepe back satin floor length gown with an oval back accented with two bows and a long sash. She dropped white rose petals from a white heart shape basket decorated with burgundy roses.

Gary Morehead, father of the groom, of Bodcaw served as best man.

Groomsmen were Brad Stevens of Lewisville and Scott Oliver, cousin of the groom, of Hope.

Derek Brown, son of the bride, of Bodcaw was the ring bearer.

Rice bags and wedding bubbles were pased out by Matt Russell, Michael Brown, Derek Brown and Kaitlin Russell.
