Fair Queen Pageant Is NearingPublished Wednesday, July 17, 1996 in the Gurdon TimesThe 1996 Clark County Fair Queen and Little Miss Pageant is being co-chaired this year by Louise Atha and Brenda Manning. The pageant will be held on the campus of Henderson State University at Arkansas Hall on Monday, September 9, beginning at 7:00 p.m. Rehearsal will be on Sunday, September 8, beginning at 1:30 p.m. for the Little Miss and at 2:30 p.m. the Fair Queen candidates will practice. The theme will be Carousel of Dreams. Application blanks are at all Clark County banks, the Chamber of Commerce and at the Extension office in Arkadelphia. A photo and a $10 fee should accompany each application. Any individual, business or club may sponsor a contestant or more than one. The application should be in the Extension no later than August 21. Call the Extension office at 246-8221 or Louise Atha at 246-5106 for more information.
