The articles will deal with information on the upcoming football season as well as a look back at some facts and stats about Curley Wolf football from the last 25 years. These statistics came from the post-season booklet prepared for each player. COMING EVENTS: Today, Wednesday, July 10, round four of the summer passing league -- scheduled at Prescott. Friday and Saturday, Chicken and Egg Festival. Tuesday and Thursday nights, football weight workouts, July 18, 23, 25, 30, Aug. 1, 6, 8. ANSCA All-Star football game Aug. 2. COACH'S CORNER: The third round of #"Air it out" at Malvern was rained out. It may be made up next week on the 24th. The sixth annual Southwest Arkansas Footbal Camp turned out to be the largest ever, with more than 90 young men working on football skills. An article with results from this camp will be in next week's paper. SENIOR SPOTLIGHT: Sam Marlow, rb/ss, had a great junior year in spite of an early and late season leg and ankle injury. He ran the ball well on offense and came up with several key defensive plays to elp the Wolves go undefeated. More will be expected in 1996 and Marlow will deliver if at all possible. '96 SCHEDULE, SCOUT REPORT: Week No. 4 will find the Wolves on the road opening up 7AA play at Bismarck. We have no information on them but they have been a play-off team in Class A for the last few years. They have good community support and should be a welcome addition to the 7AA. WORD OF THE WEEK: Perseverance -- resolution; remain constant to a purpose in spite of obstacles; steadfastness. Will the Wolves persevere over Bismark in game 4? THOUGHT OF THE WEEK: Tribulaations bring about perseverance, and perseverance brings about proven character, and proven character brings about hope, and hope does not disappoint. He is assisted by Mr. Cyril Stewart. The Public Announcing duty is in the hands of Mr. Terry Lasiter. When he is not available, he is assisted by Mr. Bob Cockman and Bro. Tom Mitchell.
