Vicki Vasser of Prescott was recently named to the Chancellor's List and the Dean's List at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. To be eligible for the Chancellor's List, a student must attain a 4.0 grade point average while enrolled in a minimum of twelve semester hours.

During the spring semester, Vasser was selected for membership in Gamma Beta Phi Society, the honorary fraternity for freshmen. Membership is based on scholarship, service and character.

Vasser was one of two freshmen to receive the four-year UA Alumni Scholarships. On April 30, 1996, the UA Department of Accounting awarded, the Jeannie Wylie Scholarship to Vasser at its annual reccognition banquet.

During her freshman year, Vasser served as an Assoiated Student Government Freshment Senator, and was selected for the Emerging Leader Program. Vasser is a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma. She represented her sorority in the Panhellenic Model Pledge Competition. Vasser was presented a Scholastic Achievement Award at the Order of Omega Awards ceremony for members of sororities and fraternities at the UA.


Students earning Presidential Scholar and Dean's List recognition at the University of Central Arkansas for the spring semester have been announced by Dr. J. William Berry, the provost.

Presidental Scholar is the designation awarded students who compile a perfect 4.0 grade point average on a minimum of 12 credit hours.

Dean's List students are those whose grade point is at least a 3.50 on a minimum of 12 credit hours.

A total of 1,623 students earned the academic honors, with 650 being named Presidential Scholars.

Those on the Presidential Scholars are Dionne S. Latin and Desiree J. Meister. Rosston's Amy L. Phillips also made the list.

Angela J. McDonald was on the Dean's List.
