Truck OverturnsPublished Wednesday, July 17, 1996 in the Nevada County PicayuneA small amount of diesel fuel leaked into a creek on Highway 387 Tuesday, July 9. According to information from the ASP, the accident occurred around 2:30 p.m. about two miles south of Bluff City and 65 feet north of White Oak State Park. A semi loaded with logs, owned by L&B Leasing of Prescott, driven by Lee TeWalt, 35 of Prescott, was traveling north coming down a steep hill with an "S" curve. According to reports, the driver lost control of the vehicle, with the semi overturning, causing heavy damage to a bridge the rig struck. TeWalt was injured in the mishap and taken to a Ouachita County Hospital. The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission was notified of the fuel leaking into the creek.
