Wolverettes Fare Well At SAU Basketball CampPublished Wednesday, July 24, 1996 in the Nevada County PicayuneThe SAU Basketball Camp was held the week of July 7-11. It was directed by Sam Biley, SAU coach. Cecily Butler, coach of the Prescott Wolverettes and Cubettes, coached the ball handling station and several teams. Ashlea Stewart who has signed with SAU helped Stacy Milam as student trainer. The following girls from Prescott attended the camp. Several of them brought home awards earned at the camp. The girls and the awards won were Megan Taylor, seventh grade; Heather Harris, seventh grade; Lauren Guthrie, seventh grade, most improved award; Jessica Hendrix, 10th grade, rebound award, champion five on five team and champion three on three team; Stacy Stockton, 10th grade, one on one champion, three-point shooting champion and SAU outstanding camper; Laura Culpepper, 12th grade, hustle award, defense award, free throw shooting champion, champion five on five team and one on one champion.
