Charles D. JonesPublished Wednesday, July 24, 1996 in the Nevada County PicayuneCharles D. Jones, 60, died at Med Center of South Arkansas in El Dorado, July 17, 1996. He was born January 7, 1936 in Prescott. He was a swabber for Therral Story Oil Co. He was a member of Asbury Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his father, Mort Clyde Jones, and two brothers, M.C. and Bobby Jones. He is survived by his wife, Merilyn Jones of Magnolia; one son, Bro. Rusty Jones of Rison; two daughters, Jeanne Jones and Casey Jones of Magnolia; four brothers, Harold Jones of Murfreesboro, Donald Jones of Delight, Jerry Jones of Cabot and John Jones of Prescott; one sister, Dorothy Dale of Prescott; his mother, Myrtie Jones of Prescott; several grandchildren from Rison; and a host of nieces and nephews. Services were at Friday, July 19, at Asbury Methodist Church with Rev. Paulette O'Dell and Bro. Rusty Jones officiating. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetary at Magnolia. Memorials may be made to Asbury United Methodist Church or to Aplastic Anemia Foundation of America, P.O. Box 613, Annapolis, MD 21404.
