Applications Sought

Southwest Arkansas Development Council (SWADC) Single Parent-Displaced Homemakers Program will be taking applications for the fall semester for

financial aid and child care assistance for those who qualify.

SWADC began taking applications on July 1, and will continue until August 2. Applications may be filled out at the SWADC office at 110 South Main in Hope, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

In order to qualify for assistance you must attend or have already attended one of our workshops and you must also qualify financially.

When filling out applications for assistance SWADC requires: (1) proof of registration and price of books for classes you are taking and (2) proof of income, and, if applying for child care assistance, you must notify the agency of the licensed daycare facility that you have chosen.

Federal funding for the Single Parent-Displaced homemakers Program is provided by the Carl D. Perkins Vocational Education Act, and is administered by the Vocational Education and Technical Education Division, Arkansas Department of Education.
