Registration Set; Supply List Given

Registration for new students who will attend Gurdon Primary school will be August 5, 6 and 7 at the primary school office.

Students who attended school in another district should bring report card or records from their previous school. All students registering should bring their Social Security card and birth certificate if they are available.

Parents of kindergarteners who have not registered should so as soon as possible. The school also needs to have all records for anyone attending kindergarten to be turned in now.

Kindergarteners will not be allowed to start until the school has their birth certificate, Social Security card, completed immunization record and doctor's physicial examination form turned in.

Class assignments will be posted at primary school by August 12.

Gurdon Primary School has relased a list of supplies the students will be needing to attend classes this year.

Kindergarten: two boxes of eight jumbo crayons; pair of scissors (Fiskars); small plastic school box; two large bottles of school glue; eight pencils; large rest towel (not mats); two boxes of Kleenex; pump bottle of liquid soap; set of extra clothes with name on each item (put in large zip lock bag); and book bag (one that library books and papers will fit in and be simple to open). Your child's name must be on each item.

First grade: $6 paper fee; $2 Weekly Reader fee; two boxes of eight or 16 crayons; pair of scissors (Fiskars); two bottles of 8- oz. school glue; 10 no. two pencils (name must be on each pencil); plastic school box; two boxes of Kleenex; bottle of liquid soap; and bookbag or satchel. Each item must be labeled with a permanent marker. These items are required the first day of school. Items 2-5 will be required again at semester.

Second grade: $10 paper and Weekly Reader fee; crayons; scissors (sharp); glue; 10 no. two pencils; school box; ruler; Kleenex (family size); liquid soap (plastic container with pump); and school bag or backpack. All supplies must be labeled with child's name in permanent marker.

Third grade: pencils; looseleaf paper with notebook for paper; two composition notebooks; crayons; Elmer's glue; scissors; ruler; school box; backpack or totebag; bottle of liquid soap; two boxes of Kleenex; and two red pens (Mrs. Walter's roon only). Each item must be labeled with your child's name in permanent marker.

Fourth grade: two (one inch three-ring) binders for language and journals; looseleaf notebook paper; pencils (no. two) and pencil top erasers; two glue sticks; washable markers; school supply box; two boxes of Kleenex; bottle of liquid soap; and two spiral notebooks (Mrs. Talley's room only). Each item must be labeled with your child's name.
