Internet Workshop Scheduled

Published Wednesday, July 31, 1996 in the Nevada County Picayune

Do you own a business and like to sell what you make or produce? Are you a farmer who likes to get information about weather and even local radar? Are you an individual who ever wants to find information about a particular subject?

If you can answer yes to any of these questions, you should find out about the Internet. Especially if you can find out about it for free.

Two Internet workshops will be conducted on August 22 in the county Extension office in Prescott. One will begin at 1:00 p.m. with a repeat at 6:00 p.m. Because of space limitations, the Extension service cannot take more than 50 people for either workshop.

This free sessions will cover: 1) what the Internet is, 2) how to get connected, 3) how to find an Internet service provider, 4) how to find almost anything on the Internet, 5) a question and answer session, and 6) software available.

If you bring two or three 3.5-inch HD disks you can pick up some free software for your computer.

For more information contact the local county Extension office at 887-2818.
