From the news people are giving me, they seem to be staying in out of the heat.

Pershing and Mary Cox recently spent the day with their daughter and son-in-law, Ann and Dale Wylie, of Hope. Seems that it was a Wylie and Cox family reunion.

Even though they don't live in our community, most everyone knows Carter Harris and will be sorry to know he is quiet ill in the Hope hospital.

Kim Cottingham and Billie Ridling spent one day last week in Arkadelphia, helping celebrate Lanna Jennings' 22nd birthday.

Danny and Kyle Pennington fished in a Tri-County Bass Club tournament held Saturday night at Lake De Queen.

Those enjoying a hamburger and homemade ice cream supper at the home of Jimmy and Margaret McBrayer in Prescott on Saturday night were Perry and Vickie Brantley from Mountain Home, Debra, Ryan and Trent McBrayer from Hope, and Pete Avery, George and Joy Cox, Louise Willis, and Lisa and Caley Pennington, all of Prescott.

Ann Wylie from Hope and her two grandkids from Springfield, Mo., visited Pershing and Mary cox one day last week.

About 20 members of the Ridling family met at the home of Mike and Jo Ridling for a hamburger cookout to join in the celebration of Mike's 50th birthday party on Saturday night.
