School Opens August 19th

Published Wednesday, August 7, 1996 in the Gurdon Times

Gurdon Schools will open Monday, August 19. This is the first day of class for all students. Busses will run their regular scheduled time and routes. Lunch rooms will be open.

Gurdon High School students who have not pre-registered may contact Rita Guthrie, the school's counselor.

Freshmen orientation for students and parents will be August 12 and 13 at 7:00 p.m. in the Cabe Student Center. All Freshmen will receive their schedules at this time.

Seniors and juniors may pick up copies of their schedules at the high school office from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. on August 13.

Sophomores may pick up their schedules from 1-3 p.m. on August 14.

No schedule changes will be made until the first week of school.

Other dates of interest: August 5, band practice; August 12, football practice; August 12, 13 and 14 inservice for teachers; August 19 classes in full session.

School will dismiss each day at 2:30 p.m. due to hot weather until further notice.
