4-H Group Helps Beautiful Cabe Library

The Hilltop 4-H Club and the Clark County Master Gardeners recently cleaned the flower beds at Gurdon's Cabe Library. They pulled grass and weeds and trimmed the plants. Then they added landscape mulch. This is the second year that the two groups have adopted this project.

Several events have kept the Hilltop 4-H Club busy this summer.

In a program begun last year, they cooperated with the Clark County Master Gardeners in cleaning out the flower beds at Cabe Library in Gurdon.

In another meeting, Arkansas Game Warden Bobby Barger spoke to the club about water and boating safety. He also brought his boat to the meeting.

The 4-H members also went to Adam Clark's Hog Farm near Okolona to get a first hand view of how a swine farm is run.

The Clark County 4-H Clubs had an Awards Banquet during the summer in the cafeteria of the new Gurdon High School. The Hilltop 4-H members were the hosts, greeting and seating the guests.
