Farris MarshPublished Wednesday, August 14, 1996 in the Nevada County PicayuneFarris Marsh, 72, of Gary, Ind., formerly of Rosston, died Saturday, August 3, 1996, in Gary. Born January 21, 1924, in Rosston, he was the son of Beulah and Paden Marsh in Rosston. He was a member of New Mount Olive Baptist Church, where he was a deacon and a member of the male chorus. He was retired from U.S. Steel Corporation and he was a member of the Jeremiah Lodge 8. Survivors include his wife, Rosie L. Marsh of Gary; a son, Willie Marsh of Gary; four sisters, Lorene Gulley of Gary, Benny Box of Dekalb, Texas, Essie Smith of Waldo and Marie Martin of Hope; and two brothers, Homer Marsh and J.P. Marsh of San Antonio, Texas. Services were held Thursday, August 8, at Smith Bizzell and Warner Funeral Home chapel in Gary with Rev. Levi Jones officiating.
