Annual Talent Contest Set For County Fair

The search is on for talent for the Nevada County Fair this year in September. The talent show will be held September 21 at the fairgrounds, according to Chad Cornelius, director of this year's show.

Anyone wishing to participate in the talent contest needs to call Cornelius at 887-2339.

There are seven divisions in this year's show, according to Cornelius: vocal solo; vocal group; instrumental solo; instrumental group; dance solo; dance group; and variety, which could include other talents besides singing, dancing or playing a musical instrument.

The overall winner will get $100 as a prize and the opportunity to perform in Hope at the Third District Fair and in Little Rock and the Arkansas State Fair.

The local fair begins September 17 and will end on September 21.
