Courthouse Photos Sought

Photos of any former Nevada County Courthouse are being sought by the Nevada County Picayune to be scanned into a computer file.

If you have photos of any events taking place in front of any former courthouse, which shows the building in the background, bring them by our office during working hours or call 887- 2002.

We will be able to scan the photos while you wait or return them to you the next day.

If you have brought old photos by the newspaper office in the past and failed to pick them up, please do so quickly. Any unclaimed old photos will be donated to the Prescott-Nevada County Museum in August if they are left unclaimed.

If you have any old photos you think would be an interest to our readers, bring them by for possible publication.

Newspaper articles have been contributed to the Prescott Community Freenet Association as a "current history" of our area. Articles dated December 1981 through May 2001 were contributed by Ragsdale Printing Company, Inc. Articles June 2001 to ? were contributed by Better Built Group, Inc. Articles ? to October 2008 were contributed by GateHouse Media.

Ownership of all Nevada County Picayune content from the beginning of the newspaper, including predecessors, until May 2001 was contributed by the John and Betty Ragsdale family to the Prescott Community Freenet Association.
