Golfers Raise $4,377
For American Cancer Society At Tournament

The Nevada County Unit of the American Cancer Society sponsored the fourth annual golf tournament on August 12. The tournament raised $4,377 for the Cancer Society.
Winners of the tournament were Gary Chambliss, Ricky Reddin, Wayne Glass and Vince Grimes. This qualifies them to play in the state ACS Tournament at Fairfield Bay on August 24 and 25.
Winners of second flight were Hal Landrith, Greg Freeman, Brad Crain and Carl Dalrymple. Third flight winners were Johnny Wake, Marc Wake, Bill Virden and Scott Virden; second place winners were Leon Hathcoat, Brown, Marion and Manning from Gurdon; Bill Jones, Donnie Barton, Sammy Graham and Van Ledbetter; and Allen Dean, Gerald Castleberry, Norman Swilley and Jeff Gierson from Camden. Third place winners were Sammy, Tim, Ronny and Danny Loe; Randy Koger, Robert Hill, Mike Huett and Jimmy Williams; Tommy Webb, Evan Webb, Mike Yates and Barret Yates.
Winners of best dressed prizes were Dick Hays and Donna Wingfield.
Corporate sponsors of the holes were: Dr. Charles Vermont, McKenzie, McRae, Vasser and Barber, Hines Trucking, Dr. Mike Young, Prescott Land and Timber, Bank of Prescott, Bank of Delight, Prescott Motor Company, Van Oil, Bud's Auto Parts, and Dalrymple Accounting. Jackets were given by Firestone and Fikes Trucking.
