Published Wednesday, August 28, 1996 in the Nevada County Picayune

Authorities are looking for suspect(s) in connection with the burglary of an Emmet business. According to Jim Westmoreland, criminal investigator with the Nevada County Sheriff's Office and Prescott Police Department, an equipment shop owned by George Clary was broken into between 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 20 and 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 21. An undetermined amount of tools and equipment, along with an 18-foot set of jumper cables were taken. Entry into the shop was gained by breaking out a glass window in the door. Westmoreland said the suspect(s) were apparently cut on entry as blood was dripped throughout the building. In addition, a blood-stained navy blue T-shirt with white lettering was found near the scene. The shirt bore the legend "Deep Fried Duck Butt," and "Hillbilly Junkshun" Page, Okla. Westmoreland said the NCSO is asking anyone who may have seen someone wearing such a shirt to contact the sheriff's office. The suspect(s) may also have cuts on the hands and arms.
