Thelma Clark Singleton

Thelma J. Clark Singleton, 83, of Longview, Texas, died Monday, August 19, 1996, in a Longview nursing home.

Born March 14, 1913, in Prescott, she was a salesperson for K.G. Men's Store and Gibson's prior to her retirement. She also was a long-time member of Greggton United Methodist Church and a member of Order of Eastern Star.

Survivors include her husband, Lonnie Singleton of Longview; two sons, Don Singleton of Dallas, Texas, and Don Rainey of Houston, Texas; three brothers, Cloyce Clark of Haynesville, La., Frank Clark of Hope and Jack Hackney of Bensenville, Ill.; four sisters, Jean Henson of Waskom, Texas, Juanita Reed of Doddridge, Mattie Green of Doddridge and Hattie Phipps of Longview; and two grandchildren.

Services were held Saturday, August 24, at Greggton United Methodist Church with the Revs. Bruce Hayes and Emmet Barrow officiating. Entombment was in Rosewood Park Mausoleum under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview.
