Burglary, Vandalism Crimes Solved With Community Tips

A 22-year-old Hope man has been arrested in connection with the burglary and theft of property at George Clary's equipment shop in Emmet.

According to Jim Westmoreland, criminal investigator with the Nevada County Sheriff's Office and Prescott Police Department, Paul L. Tucker was arrested on probable cause in the case Thursday, Aug. 29.

Westmoreland said the investigative trail led to Tucker. He said officials are looking for another suspect in the case.

Formal charges of commercial burglary and theft of property against Tucker are expected to be filed by 8th Judicial District Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Danny Rodgers.

Tucker, who allegedly left a blood-stained T-shirt with the legend "Deep Fried Duck Butt," and "Hillbilly Junkshun," Page, Okla. at the scene, was picked up by officers with the Hope Police Department.

"I'd like to thank the public for their help in this case," Westmoreland said. "The assistance of the public is always helpful. Any information furnished can make the difference in solving a crime."

Westmoreland said calls providing information were received in this case.

More than $4,000 in tools were taken in the burglary, with most having been recovered.
