Two Youths Charged With RapePublished Wednesday, September 4, 1996 in the Gurdon TimesTwo South Clark County youths have been arrested and charged with three counts of rape each. According to Clark County Sheriff Troy Tucker, the youths are 14 and 16 years old. He said the 16-year-old has been charged as an adult and is currently being evaluated in the Arkansas State Mental Hospital in Little Rock. The abuses occurred over the past year, Tucker said, to girls ages three, four and seven. An aunt of the victims took them to a clinic after they complained. The doctor who examined the trio discovered possible sexual abuse during his exam. The physician contacted the Department of Human Services. Representatives of the DHS then called the Clark County Sheriff's Office. Tucker said the girls' mother was arrested and charged with permitting abuse of minors.
