Beirne Festival Oct. 5

The Beirne Rural Fire Department has set Saturday, October 5, for the Beirne Festival.

The festival opening will begin at 11:00 a.m. with the grand opening welcome. KIX country radio station will broadcast live and the Baptist Medical Bus will be doing screening from 10:00 until 2:00. Dr. Frank Teed will be giving eye exams.

There will be lots of events throughout the day such as a hotdog eating contest at noon, horse shoe pitching contest and even a greased pig and chicken chase.

There will be arts and crafts and food booths, games for all ages and live entertainment throughout the day.

An auction is set for the end of the day by the Beirne Rural Fire Department.
