Blood Drive is Sept. 27

The Arkansas Region of American Red Cross Blood Services, Central Baptist Church and the community of Prescott will sponsor an upcoming blood drive on Friday, September 27, from 1:00-5:00 p.m.

The drive will take place at Central Baptist Church, located at 600 East Second South.

Every seven minutes someone in Arkansas needs blood. Accident victims, surgery patients, newborns, burn victims, cancer patients and many others depend on blood and blood products seven days a week and 365 days a year.

The Arkansas region of American Red Cross provides the total supply of blood and blood products to 52 hospitals in 54 Arkansas counties. Each day at least 300 units of blood must be collected to ensure the hospitals have an adequate supply.

If you are 17 years of age or older and weigh a minimum of 110 pounds, please donate blood for an Arkansan on September 27.
