Leodis Jackson

Leodis `Pete' Jackson of Riverside, Calif., formerly of Rosston, died Monday, September 2, 1996.

Born in Rosston, he was the son of Will and Mary Jackson. He attended the Nevada County Training School. He was preceded in death by his wife, Veda Royston Jackson, in 1989. He worked for both Alcoa and Douglas Aircraft companies and later he was self-employed. He later married Marion Goodman.

Survivors include his wife, Marion; a daughter, Maple Cornwell; three sisters, Viola Blakely, Roxie Tidell and Rosie Haynie; three grandsons; and a host of other relatives.

Services were held Saturday, September 7, at Mount Moriah Baptist Church in Riverside, Calif., with Pastor Willie Chambers officiating. Burial was in Perris Valley Cemetery in Perris, Calif., under the direction of Boyd Funeral Home of Los Angeles.
