Golden OldiesDoris VancePublished Wednesday, July 21, 1999 in the Gurdon Times The seniors played bingo on Monday, July 12, at Gurdon Senior Adult Center. Tuesday several seniors traveled to Twin Rivers Nursing Home to sing for the residents there. Wednesday the Musicmakers sang for the seniors. Square dancing is always a favorite, even for those who can't join in. Tommy and Dorothy Hays were at the center Friday to entertain their friends. They call the square dancers. If you look forward to playing bingo, we will be playing Monday, July 19, so come early. The monthly council meeting will be on Tuesday, July 20. If you have any ideas or comments you can tell one of the council members. Activity director Martha Bearden has many other July activities planned and is working on August's entertainments. We are very glad to have site manager Naomi Brown back with us. We also want to say congratulations to Buck and Charlotte Shepherd on their 25th wedding anniversary. Good wishes to them both for many more. Charlotte is the county coordinator for the senior centers.
