Harold Sisson

Harold Sisson, 66, of Hope died Wednesday, September 11, 1996, at St. Michael Hospital in Texarkana, Texas.

Born July 9, 1930, in Nevada County, he was a retired auto parts salesman with J.B. Cook Co. in Hope for 43 years. He was a deacon and Sunday school superintendent of Rocky Mound Missionary Baptist Church, coached Doctor Little League baseball team, was scoutmaster for Troop 92 for 20 years where he received the silver Beaver award, the highest award given to an adult scoutleader. He was a member of Hope Band Boosters Club, Hope Lions Club and Woodmen of the World. He was an army veteran of the Korean War.

Survivors include his wife, Sue Sisson of Hope; two sons, Larry Don Sisson of Hope and Ricky Sisson of Fort Smith; his mother, Hattie Sisson of Hope; three brothers, Harley, Charles and Gerald Sisson, all of Hope; and one grandson.

Services were held Saturday, September 14, at Rocky Mound Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Kenneth Grant and Rev. Coy Zumwalt officiating. Burial was in Mt. Moriah Cemetery near Rosston under the direction of Brazzel-Oakcrest Chapel Funeral Home of Hope.
