William H. WickerPublished Wednesday, September 18, 1996 in the Nevada County PicayuneWilliam H. `Willie' Wicker, 84, of Blevins died Wednesday, September 11, 1996, in Hope. Born July 27, 1912, in Prescott, he was a retired homebuilder and cattleman, a member of Bells Chapel Church of the Nazarene and was former mayor of Blevins. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Wicker. Survivors include two sons, Roger Wicker of Blevins and James Wicker of Weatherford, Texas; two daughters, Pat Persick of Baton Rouge, La., and Mary Lynn Peters of Rogers; a brother, Douglas Wicker of Texarkana; a sister, Ethel Ellis of Prescott; 10 grandchildren; and seven great grandchidlren. Services were held Saturday, September 14, at Brazzel-Oakcrest Chapel Funeral Home in Hope with Rev. John Russ and Rev. Wally Beckman officiating.
