Pass, Punt, and Kick Contest Is Set

The South Clark County Jaycees will be sponsoring its annual Punt, Pass and Kick Competitions September 21, at 9:00 a.m. at Gus Brown Field in Gurdon.

Punt, Pass and Kick is open to both boys and girls between the ages of 8-15 (age verification as of December 31, 1996). Boys and girls compete separately in local ocmpetitions with top finisher in each of the four age groups: 8-9, 10-12, 12-13 and 14-15 advancing to a sectional competition.

The top five in each of the boys and girls age groups from the pool of sectional competition champions will advance to the team championship event staged at halftime of a New Orleans Saints game.

The top four scorers in each of the boys and girls age groups from the pool of team champions will advance to the national finals at a post-season NFL game on NBC Sports.

For entry forms contact coach John Ware at Gurdon High School or Kenneth Harper at 353-4025. Prescott and Arkadelphia competitors are welcome to compete.
