Rec Programs Developed

Clark County Youth Development Center has begun providing after school recreational activities for children 6 to 12 years of age.

The program bagan September 9 at the center. The program will be held daily Monday-Friday beginning at 3:15 p.m. and closing at 6:15 p.m.

The center provided recreational activities for children this past summer. Twenty children received tutorial assistance with emphasis on reading, math and writing.

The children enjoyed nutritional meals and snacks. They played games, went on field trips and wrote and read stories.

The present program will also serve as a supervised after school daycare with certified personnel.

CCYDC will accept applications from working parents who need after school day care services. The program is made possible from a grant provided by the Family Success Project.

Eligibility requirements for participation in the program are as follows: A child and the child's family must first be found eligible for services bases on income and family size.
