PPK Winners Named

The South Clark County Jaycees held its annual Punt, Pass and Kick competition Saturday, September 21.

There were 30 competitors this year.

The winners are:

Age 8--first place winner was Kenneth Harper Jr. with 81 feet and 1 inch; second place was Eric Wells with 33 feet and 8 1/4 inches.

Age 9--first place was John Gober, 130 feet and 8 1/2 inches; second place, Dustin Self, 82 feet and 8 1/2 inches; third place, 77 feet and 7 inches; fourth place, Calvin Nolan, 76 feet and 5 inches.

Age 10--first place, T.J. Morgan, 191 feet and 1/4 of an inch; second place, Barry Nolan, 131 feet and 1 1/2 inches; third place, Roman Montgomery, 108 feet and 2 inches; Jeffery Gibson, 105 feet and 4 inches; and Jimmy Cooper, 104 feet and 8 3/4 inches.

Age 11--first place, Jack Plyler, 170 feet and 6 1/2 inches; second place, Brandon Bowie, 150 feet and 4 inches; third place, Justin Swayze, 149 feet and 3 inches; Heath Griffin, 140 feet and 1/4 of an inch; John Paul Sparks, 135 feet and 7 3/4 inches; Derrick Puckett, 113 feet and 4 1/2 inches; and John Jordan 93 feet and 8 1/2 inches.

Age 12--first place, Hoye Gober Jr., 144 feet and 6 1/2 inches; second place, Kenard Pegram, 141 feet and 5 inches; third place, James Mosley, 139 feet and 3 inches; Walter Hart, 127 ft., and Patrick Haynie, 52 feet and 9 1/2 inches.

Age 13--first place, Dorsey Kelly, 210 feet and 6 inches; second place, Earl Kitchens, 119 feet and 4 inches; and third place, O'Brian Moss, 114 feet and 3 1/2 inches.

Age 14--first place, John Mosley, 222 feet and 10 inches.

Age 15--first place, Andrew Bell 99 feet and 1 inch.
