Willie Frances Thompson

Willie Frances Thompson, 90, of Arkadelphia died Friday September 20, 1996, at the Pineview Nursing Home.

She was born in Malvern on May 8, 1908. She was the daughter of George and Martha Collie Spencer. She was owner and operator of C.E. Thompson Grocery for fifty years, and was a member of Second Baptist Churach, where she was a Sunday school teacher for fifteen years. She was the widow of Carter E. Thompson, and was preceded in death by two sons, Morris and Charles Thompson.

Survivors include two sons, Gaines Thompson of Gurdon and Roger Thompson of Conroe, Texas, and eight grandchildren, several great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Monday, September 23, at Murry-Ruggles Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Shelby Cowling officiating. Interment was in Golden Cemetery by Murry-Ruggles Funeral of Arkadelphia. Memorials may be made to the Second Baptist Church.
