Gurdon Plans CleanupPublished Wednesday, September 25, 1996 in the Gurdon TimesIf you have been looking for a way to get rid of household junk, appliances, furniture and items not picked with regular garbage pickup, the city of Gurdon has a cleanup week planned. Starting Monday, september 30, and ending Saturday, October 5, you may call city hall and have these items as well as limbs and leaves picked up at your home. According to Gurdon officials those who call before 2:00 p.m. on those days can have the itmes picked up the smae day. Calls after 2:00 will result in next day service. No calls will be accepted after 2:00 p.m. on October 5. Special arrangements have been made to those living outside Gurdon to bring these items to a designated pickup point inside city limits. Officials are looking for volunteers to help others during the cleanup and encourage all to participate.
