Women's conference will be held at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Okolona Friday, July 30, at 7:00 p.m. and Saturday, July 31, at 8:00 a.m. for a prayer breakfast. Theme will be 'Women Empowered for War in a New Millennium.' Everyone is welcome. You may contact Lola Hatley at 353-6283 for more information. Sis. Rose Dixon, president, Sis. Dianne Hatley, vice-president, and Rev. Rufus R. Hatley, pastor.

Men's Conference will be held Friday, July 30, at 7:00 p.m. at the Harrison Chapel Baptist Church in Delight. Saturday, at 8:00 a.m. a Prayer Breakfast will be held. Everyone and all the churches are welcome, Rev. Rufus R. Hatley, pastor.

11th Annual Home Coming, Sunday, August 1, 1999, at the New Mt. Zion Baptist Church of Gurdon at 3:00 p.m. Everyone and all churches are welcome, Rev. Quintin Radford, pastor.

The Sweet Home Baptist Church, near Prescott will be holding their Annual Homecoming, August 1, 1999, at 2:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome. Special guest, Rev. Billy Ray Roberts, pastor of Antioch Baptist Church, of Deann will speak, with Rev. Charles Young, pastor.

Deacon Mack Crow of Gurdon, passed away Saturday, funeral services are incomplete at this time.

Virgil and Bennie M. Johnson of Madison, Wis. are here visiting their niece, Jerime Hatley and other relatives and freinds. They attended the conference in Burtsell on Saturday, worship with New Mt. Zion Baptist Church, the Bethel Independent and the homecoming and church anniversary at the Shady Grove Baptist Church in Beirne. They had a wonderful time.

Jo Ann Beel of Los Angeles, Calif. is here visiting her sister, Mary Beel, uncle Henry Beel, Sr. and Jr., her sister, Margree Gatlin of Gurdon, her aunt, Christine Hatley, her niece, Dianne Hatley and family and other relatives and friends in the surrounding areas.
