Jester To Perform At Annual FestivalPublished Wednesday, October 2, 1996 in the Gurdon TimesLeAndra Jester, 17-year-old daughter of Sherell and Carla Jester of Gurdon, will be one of the featured entertainers for the 16th annual Gurdon Forest Festival. The festival will be held on Main Street in Gurdon Saturday, October 26. Bandstand shows are scheduled each half hour during the day starting at 11:00 a.m. and are open to the public free of charge. Miss Jester, a senior at Gurdon High School, has performed at many events throughout the state, including banquets, festivals, music shows and weddings. She has performed on stage at the Ashdown Jamboree and was a contestant in the True Value-Jimmy Dean Country Showdown, a talent show featuring cash awards and recording contracts. This fall Miss Jester will represent Clark County at the Arkansas State Fair talent show and competition. To see her next show, attend the Gurdon Forest Festival the last Saturday in October.
