George W. MayPublished Wednesday, October 9, 1996 in the Nevada County PicayuneGeorge W. May, 91, of Delight died Wednesday, October 2, 1996, at Pike County Hospital in Murfreesboro. Born November 12, 1904, he was the son of the late James Monroe and Birdie Tyo May. He was a member of the Delight Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife, Jewel May of Delight; two sons, James May of Delight and Billy May of Wyandotte, Mich.; two daughters, Lucille Harris of Prescott and Francis Suitor of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; one brother, Bert May of Delight; two sisters, Ever Burnaham of Delight and Otsy Copeland of Anaheim, Calif.; seven grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. Services were held Saturday, October 5, at Delight Church of Christ with Julian Reynolds officiating. Burial was in Delight Cemetery under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home of Murfreesobro.
