Campbell Seeking Job As Nevada County SheriffPublished Wednesday, October 9, 1996 in the Nevada County PicayuneJohnny Campbell announces his candidacy for the position of Nevada County Sheriff. Campbell is a lifetime resident of Nevada County. His parents are Wayne and Jane Campbell of Emmet. He is married to Crystal Graham Campbell, daughter of Bobby and Hazel Graham of Prescott. She is employed by the Prescott Public Schools. They are members of the Prescott Church of Christ. Campbell was employed by the Prescott Police Department for five years as a patrol sergeant, before accepting a position with the Henderson State University Police Department, where he has been for about 18 months. Campbell is a graduate of Laneburg High School, the Arkansas Law Enforcement Training Academy, and has completed several other job related training courses. He recently received the Law Enforcement Legion of Honor Award. Campbell has 11 years of service and is a current member of the Arkansas Army National Guard in Prescott. "I have had the great opportunity to serve the citizens of Prescott as a law enforcement officer," Campbell said, of his reasons for seeking the office of Nevada County Sheriff.
